Meet Chuck, the esteemed original owner of our beloved establishment, Chucks Tacos. Inheriting the business from his father, who founded it as a local market specializing in shredded beef tacos and cheese enchiladas. Chuck carried on his family legacy with unwavering passion and dedication. In 1994, he entrusted the reins to Bernie, ensuring the continuation of the cherished Los Monitos recipes that have been a staple in our community for generations. We pay tribute to Chuck's memory by upholding the traditions of quality and authenticity that have made Chucks Tacos a beloved generational restaurant!
Meet Bernie Diaz
Meet Bernie, the taco extraordinaire who turned Los Monitos into the legendary Chucks Tacos! Bernie's passion for Los Monitos started in the '70s when he worked there as a teenager and later became the proud owner in 1994, after buying Los Monitos from Chuck himself. Bernie always had a passion for Los Monitos bigger than his smile. Bernie expanded throughout the Inland Empire, making Chuck proud. Bernie was always singing songs while sitting in Chucks; his infectious energy filled the air. Even after his sudden departure in 2023, his son stepped up to continue his father's legacy. So next time you bite into the delicious food at Chuck's, remember Bernie's spirit lives on in every flavorful bite.
